When you purchase our Software through our payment provider (Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record), we receive your name, email address, and country. We do not collect or store payment card details — these are handled entirely by our payment provider.
When you activate a license, the Software sends your license key and an anonymous device identifier to Lemon Squeezy's licensing service to verify the purchase and register the activation. This identifier is derived from your computer's hardware and cannot be used to identify you personally. Apart from license activation and deactivation, the Software does not phone home, track usage, or send analytics — it runs entirely offline on your computer, including during the trial period.
Our website does not currently use analytics or tracking cookies. We do not profile visitors or share browsing data with advertising networks.
We use your email address to: deliver your license key after purchase, send important product updates (such as new versions or critical fixes), and respond to support requests. We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except: our payment provider (Lemon Squeezy) processes your purchase, issues your license key and handles license activation, and our email service may be used to deliver license keys and updates. These providers only access data necessary to perform their services.
We retain your purchase data (name, email, license key) for as long as your license is active, which is perpetual. If you request deletion of your data, we will remove your personal information from our records, but this may invalidate your license.
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to or restrict processing of your data, and request data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@clarumaudio.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Our website does not set analytics or advertising cookies. Embedded content from third parties, such as our product demo video hosted on YouTube, may set cookies when you choose to play it. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal data. All website traffic is encrypted via HTTPS. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our Software and website are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on our website with the revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
